As a result, it printed two top directories highlighting the Caribbean \u2013 a 372-page Directory featuring the region, entitled\u00a0\u201cFNS Caribbean Traveller\u201d <\/b>which promoted the Caribbean as \u201cthe greatest destination on earth with many stop-overs\u201d and \u00a0the \u201cCaribbean Professionals\u2019 Directory\u201d,<\/b>\u00a0a listing of professionals from Accountants to Zoologists.<\/p>\n

In addition, the publishing company also printed a series of Drivers\u2019 Manuals for the Caribbean in booklet form.<\/p>\n

With the expansion of the internet in the mid 1990s, Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun Publishing Inc.<\/strong>\u00a0entered the world of digital publishing with the web versions of the Caribbean Traveller<\/strong>, now\u00a0www.caribbeantraveller.com<\/a><\/strong> and the Caribbean Professionals Directory<\/strong>, now\u00a0www.caribbeanprofessionalsdirectory.com<\/a><\/strong>. The publishing company also introduced a new and distinctly different website featuring Barbados, www.coucouandflyingfish.biz<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>followed by websites on each of the Caribbean islands. Antigua & Barbuda www.ducanaandsaltfish.biz<\/a><\/strong>; St. Kitts & Nevis www.sugarcity.biz<\/a><\/strong> and the British Virgin Islands www.natureslittlesecret.biz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2011, Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun Publishing Inc.<\/strong> uploaded its 12 on-line drivers\u2019 manuals<\/strong> \u2013 Anguilla<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Antigua & Barbuda<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Barbados,<\/strong><\/a><\/b><\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>the\u00a0British Virgin Islands<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Dominica<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Grenada<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Jamaica<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0St. Kitts & Nevis<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0St. Lucia<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0St. Maarten<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0St. Vincent & The Grenadines<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Trinidad & Tobago<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun Publishing Inc.<\/strong> is managed by a Board of Directors, headed by Juliet DacBang<\/strong>, President and CEO and includes Robert Pitcher<\/strong>, Creative Marketing Consultant;\u00a0Marlene Menezes<\/strong>, Company Secretary and Gavin DacBang<\/strong>, Director.\u00a0 The staff comprises Morrison Timothy,\u00a0<\/b>Heather Greenidge,\u00a0<\/b>Sytel Cummins,\u00a0<\/b>and other freelance artists and writers.<\/p>\n

Juliet<\/strong>\u00a0 was born in\u00a0Guyana<\/strong>\u00a0to a\u00a0Vietnamese\u00a0<\/strong>father and a\u00a0Portuguese\/Arawak<\/strong>\u00a0mother. She is well versed in company administration and accounting. After having spent many years in\u00a0Canada\u00a0<\/strong>working in those areas. She now joins her husband\u00a0Robert Pitcher<\/strong> in\u00a0Barbados.<\/p>\n

Juliet\u00a0is a firm believer in \u201cthings Caribbean\u201d<\/strong> and this is one of the reasons she welcomes the challenge to make\u00a0Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun Publishing Inc.<\/strong>\u00a0the leading informer, through its publications, of goods and services in the region.<\/p>\n

Juliet<\/strong>\u00a0is well travelled, having visited places such as\u00a0Suriname, Scotland, England, the Bahamas, Venezuela, United States of America, Thailand, North<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0South Vietnam,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0the Caribbean<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The lady with the ready smile is a people\u2019s person who believes in sharing, a trait which she has acquired from her father. She also believes in equality for everyone, because as she puts it: \u201cWe are interdependent \u2013 the doctor cannot function without the porter nor the teacher without the road sweeper and the faster everyone understands that, the better type of world we would make for all.“<\/b><\/p>\n

Robert Pitcher, Former Creative Marketing\u00a0Consultant (Deceased)<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cBobby\u201d (May 29, 1940 – July 26, 2018)<\/strong>, as he was more familiarly known, had been in\u00a0Advertising<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Publishing<\/strong>\u00a0for over thirty-five years. His career started when he worked for one of the largest advertising agencies in the \u20191960s –\u00a0Norman, Craig & Kummel (NCK).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moving on, Bobby owned and managed\u00a0Robert Pitcher Advertising<\/strong>\u00a0before entering the publishing arena where he produced the\u00a0Barbados Drivers\u2019 Manual, Barbados Homemakers Magazine<\/strong>\u00a0and a map of Barbados in three languages –\u00a0French, English<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Spanish<\/strong>\u00a0– for the tourist industry. On numerous occasions he compiled and sold advertising in the\u00a0Barbados Telephone Directory<\/strong>\u00a0as well as the\u00a0Trinidad and Tobago Telephone Directory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While based in\u00a0Canada,<\/strong>\u00a0he marketed the office equipment business of\u00a0South West Plastic Binding,<\/strong>\u00a0before forming his own company,\u00a0PGC (Pitcher General Corporation).<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a strong believer in\u00a0Christianity,<\/strong>\u00a0he lived by the maxim \u201c<\/strong>do unto others as you would have them do unto you\u201d<\/strong> and \u201c<\/strong>whatever you sow, you will reap.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0This\u00a0Gemini<\/strong>-born had hobbies of playing dominoes, cooking and reading. He was a workaholic and a stickler for time and perfection. He firmly supported\u00a0Caribbean<\/strong>\u00a0unity and saw us as one people.<\/p>\n

Morrison Timothy, Manager, Antigua & Barbuda<\/p><\/div>\n

Morrison<\/strong>\u00a0is Antiguan born. He was educated and trained in the field of\u00a0Advertising and Marketing<\/strong>\u00a0in the United Kingdom. He is also qualified in\u00a0Photography<\/strong> and Graphic Design<\/strong>\u00a0from the West London College of Art.<\/p>\n

In 1980 he joined the firm of\u00a0FCB<\/strong>\u00a0working in the Art Studio preparing Newspaper and Magazine Ads. He also worked at other advertising agencies such as\u00a0Lonsdale<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Mc Cann Erickson<\/strong>\u00a0as an Accounts Executive, where he reached to Management level.<\/p>\n

On his return to Antigua he operated a company producing Newspaper and Magazine Ads. He also did some publication work for LIAT on their magazine\u00a0LIAT DREAM HOLIDAYS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 2002 he became the Coordinator for Caribbean Star Airlines<\/strong>, mainly working on the\u00a0Star Vacations Magazine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He is an ardent supporter of Caribbean unity. During his spare time he enjoys watching most competitive ball games and assisting in community work, especially for the elderly.<\/p>\n

Sytel H. Cummins \u2013 Housekeeper<\/h2>\n

It is said that \u201ccleanliness is next to Godliness\u201d and that \u201cthe way to a man\u2019s (or woman\u2019s) heart is through his\/her stomach.\u201d\u00a0Bearing these in mind, you will see why\u00a0Sytel Cummins<\/strong>\u00a0is a pillar in the\u00a0Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun<\/strong> \u2018house\u2019.<\/p>\n

An\u00a0Antiguan<\/strong>\u00a0by birth of\u00a0Barbadian<\/strong> parents,\u00a0Sytel<\/strong>\u00a0has been the housekeeper for the Company from the inception.<\/p>\n

The mother of five daughters, with whom she has a very close relationship,\u00a0Sytel<\/strong>\u00a0enjoys her work and likes the atmosphere at\u00a0Fun \u2018N\u2019 Sun<\/strong>, describing it as \u201cone big family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She is a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church and in her spare time likes going to the cinema. Having been raised by her maternal grandmother,\u00a0Sytel<\/strong>\u00a0says that she is from the \u2018old school\u2019 and believes in good manners and young people respecting the elderly and people\u2019s property.<\/p>\n
